CHICAGO — Three people suffered minor injuries following a three-car collision in Lincoln Park Saturday, officials said.

The accident occurred about 2:26 a.m. at the six-way intersection North Lincoln Avenue, North Halsted Street and West Fullerton Avenue, said officer John Mirabelli, a police spokesman.

When a taxi driving southbound on Halsted turned left onto Fullerton, it was struck by an oncoming Subaru. The car then hit a second taxi, which was waiting to make a left onto Fullerton.

The 22-year-old male Subaru driver was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was treated for bumps and bruises and is in stable condition.

Two passengers from the first taxi—a 23-year-old man and 24-year-old woman—were treated for minor injuries at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and have been released.

Mirabelli said the 61-year-old male taxi driver has been cited with failure to yield while making a left turn.

All vehicles were towed from the scene.
