CHICAGO — Beyonce's halftime performance at Sunday's Super Bowl was just a taste of things to come as the pop star announced plans for a world tour kicking off April 15.

It includes a stop in Chicago — July 17 at the United Center.

Beyonce Knowles announced the new tour, "The Mrs. Carter Show," on her website Sunday.

The pop star will first travel Europe before beginning the North American leg of the tour with a show June 28 in Los Angeles.

Fans can join the "Beyhive blog" on Beyonce's website to possibly buy tickets early. Tickets go on sale for the show's North American tour Monday, Feb. 11, at ticketmaster.com

The announcement comes after Beyonce performed at Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans. The star performed hit songs including "Single Ladies" and "Halo."

The show also featured a fleeting reunion of Destiny's Child, the group Beyonce performed with before embarking on a solo career.
