CHICAGO — Police charged a 21-year-old Roseland man in a November robbery that left another man seriously injured.

Michael Steven Gay, of the 200 block of West 95th Street, was charged in one count each of attempted murder, armed robbery, aggravated robbery and a probation violation.

On Nov. 25, officers responded to a call of shots fired on the 2700 block of East 80th Street shortly before 1:30 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, they found a 19-year-old man in a stairwell of residence. He had been shot multiple times, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said in a news release.

Detectives working the case learned that the victim had been robbed before he was shot, and identified Gay as one of the suspects. Officers arrested Gay in the 200 block of West 95th Street Friday.

He was scheduled to be in court Saturday.
