
CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man died Thursday after being gunned down on a West Englewood porch, authorities said.
Brian Cross was standing with two other people on a porch when the shooting occurred about 9:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Honore Street, police said.
A man on foot approached the porch and fired multiple shots, wounding Cross and another man in his mid-30s, authorities said.
Cross was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds including to his chest shortly after 10 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The other man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he had injuries to his arm and leg that weren't life-threatening.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
