CHICAGO — A man was shot during an attempted carjacking in Avondale Sunday, police said.
Around 7:45 a.m., a man walked into the Shakespeare District police station, 2150 N. California Ave., with a gunshot wound to the back. He told police he’d been the victim of an attempted carjacking on the 3300 block of West Wellington Street, said Police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in good condition. Police had no more information.
