CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy was shot to death in Englewood Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The teen was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen in the 5500 block of South Loomis Boulevard about 3:10 p.m., said officer Daniel O’Brien, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The victim, later identified as Christopher Lattin Jr., 15, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

O'Brien said police have a “possible offender” in custody, and charges were pending as of Monday afternoon.
