BACK OF THE YARDS — A man was shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood this afternoon, police said.
A 58-year-old man was shot in the head about 3:45 p.m. Friday on the 1000 block of West 47th Street, according to police spokesman Officer Daniel O'Brien.
The man was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital where he is currently in stable condition, O'Brien said.
Details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available, O'Brien said.
