CHICAGO — Police have issued a warning to food delivery workers after two armed robberies this month.

Delivery workers were targeted in robberies on the 6500 block of South Francisco Avenue at about 6 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Sunday. Police say the incidents were related, involving two to three offenders, including one with a handgun.

In the warning, police said workers should ask customers should to keep their front porches well lit, should leave immediately if a location looks abandoned or vacant and should be suspicious if a caller indicates they will need a large amount of change.

Anyone with information about these specific robberies should contact detectives at (312) 747-8380.
