CHICAGO — A man was killed during an apparent carjacking in Austin Sunday night, police said.
The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on the 1100 block of South Austin Boulevard, said police spokesman Ron Gaines. The victim was shot several times, including in the head, and was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood where he was pronounced dead shortly after 11:45 p.m.
The victim hasn't been identified. He is believed to be in his 20s, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
No one has been arrested for the shooting.
