CHICAGO — A worker was injured Monday afternoon when a Burnside house he was working on collapsed, officials said.

The incident occurred about 12 p.m. in the 9300 block of South Lyon Avenue, Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva said.

A man was doing demolition on a building when the roof of the front porch collapsed on him, Roccasalva said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in "stable" condition and no other injuries were reported.
