EDGEWATER — Police released a photo of a suspect who allegedly mugged and tried to sexually assault a woman in an Edgewater alley on Friday.
The man approached the woman at 5:40 a.m. as she was walking through an alley in the 5600 block of North Kenmore Avenue. He hit her, mugged her and attempted to sexually assault her, according to a police community alert.
The offender is described as being 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. He is between the ages of 18 and 25, police said. He was last seen wearing a white jacket with a red strip on each shoulder.
