Clark Street Construction Ends as Work on Halsted Begins

By Jackie Kostek | October 11, 2012 11:03am

LAKEVIEW — Drivers and bicyclists may want to change their route to work Friday morning with construction work happening on North Clark and North Halsted streets.

But there is some good news. The Clark Street resurfacing project, which started several weeks ago will be done by Monday, Oct. 15, according to Erin Duffy, a spokeswoman for 44th Ward Alderman Tom Tunney.

A similiar resurfacing project for North Halsted Street is set to begin Friday, and will run from Aldine Avenue to Addison Street.

Duffy said Halsted should be construction-free just in time for trick-or-treaters on Halloween.
