Julia Bottles is the Features Editor at DNAinfo New York.

Before joining DNAinfo, she was a news producer for News 12 The Bronx where she oversaw and wrote daily hyperlocal newscasts covering all aspects of The Bronx. Julia also served as a special projects producer. Her sports documentary special News 12 Overtime was nominated for New York Emmy Award. Additionally, she produced DiVA Talk, a special about domestic violence issues in the Bronx.

Julia attended Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism where she received her M.S. in Broadcast Journalism. She also holds a B.A. in History from Grinnell College.

FUN FACT: Julia was a competitive swing and blues dancer before an (unrelated) injury sidelined her and she decided being thrown in the air wasn’t the best life choice. She still knows all the best places to dance in New York.
