BROOKLYN SUPREME COURT — A Crown Heights man has been indicted for murder and kidnapping in connection with the 2014 death of Williamsburg landlord Menachem Stark, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Erskin Felix, 38, faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted for the killing of Stark, 39, whose charred body was discovered in Great Neck Jan. 3, 2014, a day after he went missing.

“This indictment is the latest step in our journey toward justice for Menachem Stark, his seven children and the rest of the family his killers took him from,” Acting Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez said.

Erskin’s Felix’s brother, Kendall Felix, and cousin Irvine Henry, were indicted for conspiracy, tampering with physical evidence and hindering prosecution and were ordered held without bail at their arraignments, according to the Brooklyn DA’s Office.

Stark was kidnapped outside his office on Rutledge Street, near Broadway, and ultimately forced into a van, police said.

One of the kidnappers later sat on his chest, suffocating him, prosecutors said.

Investigators determined that Erskin Felix had done work for Stark in the past and planned to extort money from him, according to the DA’s Office.

Another cousin of Erskin’s, Kendel, has already been found guilty of murder and kidnapping. He also faces up to 25 years to life in prison at sentencing.
