BROOKLYN — A teen knocked out a man and then took a selfie with him in a seemingly unprovoked attack after the victim stepped out of a DUMBO Shake Shack, according to the NYPD.

The 43-year-old left the eatery at Old Fulton Street and Water Street at about 9:15 p.m. Thursday when a 16-year-old boy wearing a dark bomber jacket walked up and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground, an NYPD spokesman said.

The suspect, who witnesses told police was about six-foot and had short braids, then took a picture with the victim before running off.

The victim survived the assault, which was first reported by the New York Daily News, and the extent of his injuries were not immediately clear, the spokesman added.

The NYPD spokesman said investigators were not yet sure if the attack was part of a pattern of “knockout game” assaults.

A 53-year-old woman was recently punched in the face in the Lower East Side after a man walking with two other suspects declared “I’m gonna do it” before approaching her from behind hitting her in the right side of her face.

Police described that incident as a knockout game attack.
