'It's Piss!' Robbers Shout Before Tossing Bottle at Victim, NYPD Says

By Trevor Kapp | December 1, 2016 11:38am

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Police have released a video of three robbers who chucked a bottle that they claimed contained urine at a man before stealing his backpack, jacket and passport, the NYPD said.

The 29-year-old victim was walking near the corner of Bridge and Willoughby streets at about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 when a stranger threw the bottle at his head while saying, "It's piss, n---a," according to police.

When the victim dropped his North Face backpack — carrying his $250 M.K. jacket and his passport — on the ground to confront the group, they grabbed the bag and fled south on Bridge Street, police said.

The victim was not hurt, police said.

Police described one of the suspects as being between 18 and 20 years old, standing 5-foot-6 to 6 feet tall. He was seen wearing a red, hooded sweater.

The two others are about the same age and build and were last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
