CO-OP CITY — The woman charged with mugging a 103-year-old for $30 was sentenced to five years behind bars on Thursday.

Sharon McNeil, 53, pleaded guilty in September to barging into Louise Signore in her Bellamy Loop building in Co-Op City, knocking her to the ground and stealing $30 from her.

She followed the legally blind Signore into her building on April 1 and first waited behind a door as Signore checked her mail, according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office.

She then followed Signore onto the elevator of her building and up to her home on the eighth floor before she attacked her, snatching a shopping cart that the elderly woman had been holding and leaving her crying for help on the floor, officials said.
