QUEENS — A student brought a BB gun to a Cambria Heights high school Wednesday, officials said.
School safety agents found the gun in a 19-year-old student’s backpack after he tried to sneak the weapon through a scanning machine at Math and Science High School on 116th Avenue, according to the security agents union and Department of Education.
Safety agents in Brooklyn confiscated another BB gun at Erasmus Hall High School earlier in the day.
No one was injured at either school, according to the DOE.
The Queens student was issued a summons and released, the union spokeswoman added.
The NYPD did not have any information on the Queens incident.
