QUEENS — Two adjacent warehouses on Jamaica Avenue, including one featuring a massive rooftop greenhouse, have been sold for $78 million, investors announced Thursday.

The industrial buildings — at 184-10 and 184-60 Jamaica Ave. in Hollis — have been purchased from Rodless Properties by Madison Realty Capital which partnered on the deal with Artemis Real Estate Partners.

MRC and Artemis are planning to overhaul the 613,000-square-foot buildings, originally built in 1923 and 1954, the companies said.

“We believe that the buildings, once upgraded, will be attractive to a number of users who are priced out of the traditional industrial locations in the NYC metro area," Michael Bernstein, principal of Artemis, said in a statement.

The buildings are currently occupied by several manufacturing firms, including French Connection and Hanky Panky

Gotham Greens opened its 60,000-square-foot greenhouse atop 184-60 Jamaica Ave. last year, producing more than 500 tons of fresh vegetables a year at the location.

The warehouses feature five freight elevators, two passenger elevators, 12 loading docks and a parking lot with more than 100 parking spaces.
