FORT GREENE — Calling all Brooklyn eateries!

Gotham Market at the Ashland, Fort Greene’s newest food hall, is looking for Brooklyn-based restaurants and food purveyors to operate a pop-up restaurant at the market, which will open this fall.

The market is looking for local chefs or bakers to fill the space for four-month sessions at the 16,000-square-foot food hall, which will open at the base of the new luxury residential tower at 250 Ashland Place, according to a press release.

The pop-up space will include a fully functioning kitchen and counter, complete with refrigeration, an oven, a grill and downstairs storage.

Pop-up restaurants would not have to pay for rent, but would be responsible for their own operational expenses.

“Brooklyn is filled with creative food artisans, and Gotham will continue its history of supporting the newest up-and-comers in helping start-ups succeed by giving them the opportunity to showcase and sell their offerings next to the market’s proven winners and by minimizing operating costs to help these businesses succeed financially,” says the press release.

Gotham West Market announced the opening of its Brooklyn outpost earlier this month.

Aside from the pop-up, the market will serve up goodies from seven permanent food and drink vendors including Long Island City’s Mu Ramen, Apizza Regionale and Flip Bird by Dinosaur Bar-B-Que founder John Stage, and Midtown’s Mason Jar.

A communal bar will serve draft beer, wine and cocktails at the center of the market.

Chefs and restaurateurs interested in the pop-up space can email popup@gothamorganization.com with information about their brand and why they would like to join Gotham Market.
