BROOKLYN NAVY YARD — The Navy Yard’s Building 77, once an abandoned storage warehouse, will soon be decked out with private terraces, premium commercial space and WiFi-ready shuttle buses, according to new renderings.

The renderings, from a Building 77 information packet released last week, show several new amenities for the 16-story building, which is set to reopen in early 2017.

The 1,000,000-square-foot building, designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and Marvel Architects, will give working space for tenants in a range of fields including design, technology, fashion, home furnishings, entertainment, and research.

The building’s swanky top two floors will be a premium working space called The Beacon, which will feature 11-foot ceilings and unobstructed views of Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn. The Beacon’s select tenants will have access to eight 1,200-square-foot private terraces and 16,000 square feet of rooftop space.

Downstairs, famed appetizing shop Russ & Daughters will anchor the building’s massive food hall and a 9,000-square foot plaza will be open to visitors at the building’s Flushing Avenue entrance.

The renderings also give a more detailed look at new transportation services, like a WiFi equipped shuttle, and other projects around the Navy Yard, including the Wegmans grocery store and a Steiner Studios expansion.
