DUMBO — A 17-foot-tall tree from Vermont will light up DUMBO for the holiday season.

The organically-grown balsam fir, donated by local seller Adam Parke, will be lit Thursday at DUMBO’s 10th annual tree lighting ceremony.

The ceremony, which starts at 6 p.m. at the Pearl Street Triangle, will feature free hot chocolate donated by Jacques Torres, snippets of The Nutcracker by the Gelsey Kirkland Dance Academy, calypso music from Brooklyn-based steel-drum band Jah Pan, and a Santa Claus photobooth.

Irreverent vocal group Opera on Tap will be singing Christmas carols at the lighting, then continue through the neighborhood until 9 p.m.

Organizers with the DUMBO Improvement District will also be collecting unwrapped toys for children up to 14 years old. The toys will be sent to the Big Brooklyn Holiday Toy Drive, which distributes them to local kids.
