
QUEENS — A 36-year-old woman was stabbed and critically injured outside her 221st Street home early Tuesday, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was attacked and stabbed repeatedly near 105th Avenue about 4:45 a.m., police said. She was found bleeding on the sidewalk and rushed to North Shore University Hospital in critical condition, cops added.
The stabbing occurred just a few blocks away from Belmont Park.
NBC reported that the woman worked as a home health care aide and was stabbed in the neck and body.
Detectives are investigating robbery as a possible motive, according to NBC.
