FORT GREENE — More than 300 would-be Brooklynettes showed up to dance tryouts over the weekend, but coach Adar Wellington and a panel of judges tapped just 40 finalists after two days of grueling auditions.

Tryouts took place in the Wellness, Recreation and Athletic Center of Long Island University in Fort Greene on Saturday and Sunday.

Second-day tryouts were choreographed by Brooklyn-born Rhapsody James, who has created dances for Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Madonna and J. Lo.

All dancers were required to be in full hair and makeup and have their midriff and legs exposed.

This week the 40 finalists will endure a "training camp" where coaches can take a good look at the seasoned dancers' moves and endurance.

Only a handful will be chosen to represent the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center during the upcoming 2013-14 season.
