Nicole Levy

Reporter/Producer @AubernaLevy Contact

Nicole is DNAInfo’s “This Is New York” reporter, writing about all about the idiosyncrasies that make New York City enthralling, exasperating and the only place New Yorkers could ever call home.

She came to DNAInfo from Capital New York, where she covered the media business. Never again in her life will she enjoy as many free magazine subscriptions.

Her work has also appeared in Newsday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Queens Chronicle.

Before graduating in 2013, Nicole studied English and edited the Yale Daily News Magazine at Yale University. There, she won the John Hersey Prize for her senior writing project, a reported account of a day in the life of a caregiver and her mother, who suffered from dementia.

Nicole grew up one door down from Flushing Cemetery, the site of Louis Armstrong’s grave. Today, she lives in Sunnyside, the home of the best Filipino food in the city.

Fun fact: Nicole grew up singing in operas. By the end of college, she was typically cast as the sassy maid.
