Adam Nichols

Senior Editor @adam__nichols Contact

Adam Nichols is a Senior Editor at DNAinfo.

Adam is a veteran of New York’s tabloid world, coming to DNAinfo after two years as a senior writer at the New York Post. Before that, he spent five years as a staff writer at the Daily News. In that time, he’s covered news in virtually every New York City neighborhood - not bad for a guy who grew up in northeast England.

Adam first came to New York in 2003, tempted over by the chance to cover news in a country that’s bigger, bolder and, let’s face it, crazier than England. He started covering the U.S. for several British papers, a job in which he spent as much time aboard planes traveling to every corner of the country as he did reporting.

Adam studied politics and English at Strathclyde University, in Scotland, and is a graduate of England’s National Council for the Training of Journalists.

He has worked as a political correspondent, an environmental reporter and a news editor at several newspapers in England.

Adam also taught an undergraduate course in Hyperlocal Journalism at Seton Hall University.

Fun Fact: Despite living in New York for several years, Adam still mentally converts dollars into pounds sterling when shopping.
