BROOKLYN — An “unauthorized person” was seen on the subway tracks at the York Street station Tuesday ahead of the evening rush, causing disruptions on the F line, MTA officials said.

The person — who got onto the tracks a little after 4 p.m. — was not believed to have been hit by a train, and police were not able to find the person after turning off power at the station and searching, MTA and NYPD spokesmen said.

F train service was disrupted between Brooklyn and Manhattan for more than an hour and resumed at about 5:45 p.m., according to the MTA.
