FORT GREENE — A hit-and-run driver struck a bicyclist on Washington Avenue early Thursday before turning himself in to police hours later, the NYPD said.

Joseph Garcia, 27, hit the bicyclist, also 27, with his 2017 Subaru near Willoughby Avenue, then fled the scene just after midnight, police said.

Garcia later surrendered to police and was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, the NYPD said.

His vehicle was found at DeKalb and Waverly avenues, police said.

The bicyclist was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Correction: An earlier version of this story said the bicyclist was struck by a motorcycle.
