BROOKLYN — A chaotic scene unfolded inside M.S. 691 in Fort Greene Tuesday morning when a 12-year-old boy stole a BB gun that a 13-year-old boy brought to school, then used it to try to rob a 12-year-old girl, police said.
But the girl ran to school safety agents inside the building on Clermont Avenue near Myrtle Avenue, who then confiscated the weapon around 8:30 a.m., the NYPD said.
The 13-year-old boy was cited for having a fake gun, while the 12-year-old boy was charged with robbery, police said.
Their names were not released because they’re juveniles.
It was one of several school-related incidents across the city Tuesday.
In Manhattan Beach, a 6-year-old brought an imitation gun to P.S. 195, police said.
In Flushing, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed inside John Bowne High School. Three people were taken into custody in that incident, the NYPD said.
