CLINTON HILL — A construction worker was arrested for hitting a colleague over the head with a power drill while on the job, police said.

Peter Armstrong, 56, bashed the 69-year-old victim while the two were doing work at a home at 363 Grand Ave. around 12:40 p.m. on March 1, according to a police report.

The victim suffered bleeding and swelling to the head and received stitches at Brooklyn Hospital, police said.

It wasn’t clear what led Armstrong to attack the man.

He was charged with assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, prosecutors said.

Armstrong was released without bail and is scheduled to next appear in court on May 5.

He does not have a prior record, city and state authorities said.

Armstrong’s attorney did not immediately return a request for comment.
