CLINTON HILL — A cellphone store employee was duct taped and struck in the face with a bag of stolen phones by a trio of armed men who robbed the Myrtle Avenue shop, police said.

The suspects entered the T-Mobile store at 436 Myrtle Ave. at 5:40 p.m. on Feb. 16 and pulled out a gun, police said.

The men held the employees in the back of the store, with one of the suspects duct-taping one of the workers, a police report said.

The suspects then stole an undetermined amount of cellphones and cash, police said.

Before leaving, one of the robbers struck the employee who had been taped in the head with a bag of the stolen phones, cutting the worker's face, police said.

The suspects rushed into a tan-colored van waiting for them on Waverly Avenue that drove southbound, police said.

Surveillance video shows two of the three men entering the store wearing ski masks, while another removes a handgun from his jacket.

A manager at the store declined to comment on the robbery.

The suspects were described as between 25 and 40 years old and between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet tall, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
