FORT GREENE — A 15-year-old boy was arrested for stealing a man’s wallet and cellphone at knifepoint just outside the Fort Greene Park Visitor Center, the NYPD said.

The 24-year-old victim was sitting on the steps outside the center at 5 p.m. on Feb. 1 when the boy demanded his phone while threatening him with a kitchen knife, a police report said.

The man handed over his iPhone 5 and the boy also demanded his wallet, police said.

The suspect took the wallet, which contained credit cards and a Pratt student ID, before fleeing, police said.

A spokesman for the Fort Greene Park Conservancy said police were called immediately following the incident.

Officers arrested the boy the next day and charged him with robbery, felony assault, disorderly conduct and offenses against public administration.

He was hit with the assault charges for having a deadly weapon with intent to use, though it wasn't clear what offenses against public administration he committed, a police spokesman said.
