Boy on Scooter Hit by Car Near Cadman Plaza, FDNY Says

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A 12-year-old boy riding a scooter was seriously injured after getting hit by a car near Cadman Plaza Park Monday morning, officials said. 

The boy, whose name wasn't immediately released, was hit at Middagh Street and Cadman Plaza West about 8:10 a.m., NYPD and FDNY officials said.

The boy was seriously hurt and treated at Kings County Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition, officials said.

The driver stayed at the scene and wasn't immediately arrested, police said.

It wasn't clear what type of scooter the boy was riding at the time. The circumstances surrounding how the collision occurred were also unclear.
