Man Shot in Leg During Botched Clinton Hill Drug Deal, Police Say

CLINTON HILL — A man was shot in the leg inside his apartment during a botched drug deal, police said.

The 33-year-old victim let his friend and another man into his home, near Irving Place and Putnam Avenue, around 1:40 p.m. on Jan 17, according to a police report. 

The victim and the third man then got into an argument, with the suspect hitting the victim in the face and head and shooting him in the thigh, the NYPD said.

The 33-year-old was taken to Methodist Hospital and was expected to survive, police said.

No additional details regarding the nature of the drug deal were available. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, police added.
