Man Swipes Selfie Stick From Tourist Snapping Pic by Brooklyn Bridge: NYPD

DUMBO — Oh snap!

A man swiped a woman’s selfie stick as she was trying to take a photo of herself at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the NYPD said. 

The man snuck up behind the 29-year-old victim, who was visiting from Argentina, around 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 1 while she was trying to take the picture near 1 Water St., a police report said. 

The woman’s cellphone dropped to the ground, but the thief managed to get away with the $15 selfie stick. 

No arrests have been made.

Other notable crimes from the 84th Precinct include:

► A burglar stole $13,756 in jewelry, a social security card and a passport from a 28-year-old man’s Bond Street apartment, between Bergen and Wyckoff streets, while he was on vacation between Dec. 21 and Dec. 28, police said.

► Two men took off with a $1,995 Movado watch after asking to look at it at the Macy’s at 422 Fulton St. around 7:10 p.m. on Dec. 26, police said. A Macy's spokeswoman did not respond to a request for comment. 

► A burglar stole a $2,000 Apple laptop and two credit cards from a 68-year-old woman’s apartment at Hicks and Clark streets while she was on vacation sometime between Dec. 15 and Dec. 29, police said. 

► A 20-year-old woman was standing on the sidewalk in front of 110 York St. around 8:25 a.m. on Dec. 26 when a teenage suspect snatched her Samsung cellphone from her hand and fled on foot eastbound on York Street, police said.
