JACKSON HEIGHTS — The re-opening of a set of stairs at the 82nd Street 7 train stop has been delayed yet again after construction crews found even more issues, officials said.

The stairs are now expected to open sometime in December, although a more exact date wasn't known, an MTA spokeswoman said.

They were supposed to re-open in May after closing for construction work, but have been delayed multiple times.

An official said as construction crews were repairing the stair treads they found that the structure under the concrete "had deteriorated and required extensive repairs."

The re-opening was delayed back in June after crews found "foundational defects" on the lower set of the stairs.

With the additional staircase shuttered, the platforms have been even more overcrowded, particularly during rush hour.
