JACKSON HEIGHTS — A stairwell to the 82nd Street stop on the 7 train will remain closed until at least July after construction crews found more problems during repairs, according to the MTA.

The northeast stairs on 82nd Street shuttered in March and were set to reopen in May, officials said.

But in the process of construction, a contractor found "foundational defects" on the lower section that need to be repaired, according to an MTA spokeswoman.

Repairs at 82nd Street are part of $140 million set aside for repairs at seven stations along the 7 line, which was announced in 2014.

The 7 train opened in Queens in 1915.
