CLINTON HILL — Black History Month will be all about healing on Myrtle Avenue.

The Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership is currently calling for artwork and idea submissions for its 5th Annual Black Artstory Month along the thoroughfare, with this year’s theme being "The Altar: Rituals of Healing in the African Diaspora."

The monthlong event, which coincides with Black History Month every February, celebrates African-American contributions to the visual and performing arts by featuring artwork along storefronts on Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Throughout the month, the local business group will also bring free cultural programming to different venues each Friday.

This year’s program, curated by Suhaly Bautista-Carolina, will explore healing rituals and traditions among the African Diaspora through visual-art installations, performance, film, poetry and other media.

“The Altar is thus both an exhibition and an offering of healing strategies, anchored in community, that aim to overcome stress, reinforce our intentions in the world and heal trauma,” reads the call for submissions.

“It is an invitation to learn how we can spiritually protect ourselves and each other and a commemoration of our legacy of healing throughout time and place.”

Each submission should include:

► The artist’s name, email and website
► An artist statement
► Three to five images of the artwork
► One paragraph that ties the work to the theme

To submit an idea for this year’s Black Artstory Month, email Suhay Bautista-Carolina at blackartstory@myrtleavenue.org. Submissions are due Tuesday, Nov. 15.
