DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A group of thieves stole more than $3,600 from a safe at Mexican restaurant chain Dos Toros in Downtown Brooklyn, police said.
Four men entered the 64 Court St. eatery through an unlocked gate around 4 a.m. on Nov. 3 and broke through the rear door, which was locked, the NYPD said.
The men were then able to get into the restaurant’s basement, where they took $3,663.50 from the safe, police said.
The men tried to break into a second safe but were unsuccessful, police added.
Surveillance video shows two of the men, who were described as about 30 years old, in the restaurant's basement, the NYPD said.
The thieves fled in an unknown direction.
A manager at Dos Toros declined to comment.
