FORT GREENE — A 70-year-old man was randomly punched in the face while looking at a map last week on Flatbush Avenue, police said.
The man was standing outside 41 Flatbush Ave., near Livingston Street, around 4:40 p.m. when the unknown suspect approached and socked him in the face, a police report said.
The victim suffered bruising and swelling to the face, according to police.
Police did not have additional information on the suspect.
No arrests have been made.

► A 55-year-old man and a friend were sitting in his car parked at 31 North Oxford St., when two men wearing masks threatened them with guns and demanded money around 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 20, police said. The suspects hit the 55-year-old in the head and made off with $400 in cash and the victims’ credit cards.
► A 30-year-old woman was walking home from work on Adelphi Street at Lafayette Avenue around 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 21 when two suspects approached and demanded money, police said. The victim gave the suspects $80 in cash and they fled.
► A 22-year-old man was visiting a friend in a Long Island University dorm room around 11:40 p.m. on Oct. 22 when he got into a verbal spat with two other men, police said. The unidentified suspects hit him in the head and left the dorm room, but the victim followed them out. Once outside, the suspects attacked the victim again, and one of them cut his middle finger with a knife before fleeing, police said. The victim went to a local hospital but did not stay for treatment.
