DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN —  What a weenie.

A man stole a food cart parked outside the Papaya King at 6 Flatbush Ave. during business hours, police said.

The decorative cart — which features a red-and-yellow umbrella and the famously cheap frank purveyor's logo — was taken just before 9 p.m. on Oct. 17 while the eatery was still open.

The man dragged away the cart, which is usually parked on the sidewalk outside during restaurant hours, despite it having a flat tire, said Papaya King’s director of operations, Amzad Hossain.

Surveillance video shows the thief hitting a snag before finally pulling the broken-down cart away. Employees inside couldn't see the theft happening because it was dark outside, Hossain noted.

“We didn’t think anyone would be able to push it,” he said. “He got stuck, but he dragged it away.”

The cart is worth about $1,500, Hossain added.

No arrests have been made.

Other notable crimes from the 84th Precinct, which covers Downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO, include:

► Two men stole $1,500 from the back of a delivery truck that was parked in front of 259 Adams St. around 3 p.m. on Oct. 17 while the driver was making a delivery, police said.

► An unknown suspect stole a former police officer’s wallet from his car at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 as he was trying to detach a mobile food cart from the vehicle outside 342 Fulton St., police said. The wallet contained $500 in cash, an NYPD pistol license, an NYPD ID card, a Social Security card, a Department of Veterans Affairs ID, a Medicare ID card, a US Department of Defense ID card, a New York driver’s license, and three credit cards.

► Two men were arrested for taking several thousand dollars worth of merchandise from the Macy’s at 422 Fulton St. in separate thefts last week, police said. A 50-year-old man was arrested for taking $3,136 worth in clothing from the store at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 21. Later that week, on Oct. 23 at 3:45 p.m., a 52-year-old was arrested for stealing $1,024 worth of clothing from the store. A representative for Macy’s could not be reached for comment.
