FORT GREENE — Don't "paws" on getting your pooch ready for this costume contest.

The 18th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest is back at Fort Greene Park this year — but registration will be limited for the first time.

Pre-registration has sold out for the popular competition, and day-of registration on Oct. 29 will be limited to 70 entrants.

Organizers from the nonprofit group Fort Greene PUPS said they will be capping the number of participants at 120 after last year’s contest drew a record 167 dressed-up dogs.

Registration will open at 10:30 a.m. at monument plaza, with a suggested donation of $10.

The contest starts at 11:30 a.m., when costumed canines go before a panel of three judges.

Prizes include goodies from local businesses such as Who’s Your Doggy, Dog Parker, Clinton Hill Animal Clinic, Bittersweet Coffee, Brooklyn Bark, Greene Grape and more.

The show is free to watch and will be held simultaneously with the Fort Greene Park Conservancy’s children’s Halloween Fest, which begins at noon.

The official after party will be held at DSK Biergarten, at Fulton Street and Greene Avenue. The outdoor beer garden will be open to dogs, and $1 from the sale of each Weihenstephaner beer will go to Fort Greene PUPS.

In the event of rain, the contest will be rescheduled to Oct. 30.
