DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A suspect threw hot cooking oil at a fast-food employee after being stabbed by the worker during a wild knifepoint robbery at the restaurant, authorities said.

An employee was cleaning the Wing Stop at 289 Livingston St. before closing at 11:45 p.m. Saturday when she was grabbed from behind by one of three suspects, the NYPD said.

The male suspect choked the worker and dragged her to the restaurant counter, pressing a knife to her neck and demanding the code to open the register, police said.

A second male suspect then jumped over the store counter and went into the kitchen, where he was confronted by two other employees, police said.

A fight ensued, and one of the employees stabbed the suspect in the back and upper left shoulder with a knife, the NYPD said.

The suspect then threw hot cooking oil at the employee in retaliation, according to police.

Meanwhile, the first suspect was able to grab $740 in cash from the register, police said.

The three suspects fled westbound on Livingston Street and then northbound on Elm Street, police said.

One of the employees sustained burns and was treated at Cornell Hospital, police said.

Another employee had minor scratches, and the third employee was uninjured, police said.

A manager at Wing Stop declined to comment Wednesday.

No arrests have been made.

► A nearby cellphone store at 465 Fulton St. was burglarized the day before the Wing Stop robbery, police said.

An unidentified suspect broke into the store and shattered a glass case, taking $3,500 in electronics and $1,500 in cash from a safe behind the counter, according to police.
