DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A teenager tried to sell a stolen Citi Bike to a passerby for $10 in Downtown Brooklyn, police said.
The 17-year-old tried to peddle the bike to a “random person” at the corner of Gold and Johnson streets at 5:40 p.m. on July 5, police said.
Officers arrested the teen, and Citi Bike confirmed the $1,200 bicycle had been stolen, according to the police report.
He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, prosecutors said.
