FORT GREENE — A pair of men went on a nearly $3,000 shopping spree after stealing a woman’s wallet from a Fort Greene coffee shop.

The 40-year-old victim was at the Greene Grape Annex, at 753 Fulton St., around 5:20 p.m. on June 27 when she lost her leather zip-style wallet containing her ID and several credit cards, the NYPD said.

The woman realized she misplaced her wallet when she got home from the coffee shop and received several fraud alerts from her credit card companies, police said.

In less than an hour, police say her credit cards were used to purchase $2,000 worth of clothing, beauty products and accessories at several shops in Manhattan.

Police said that between 7:17 and 7:40 p.m., her cards were used to buy a $600 Jerome Dreyfuss bag and $693 in other purchases at Second Time Around in Nolita; $310 in purchases that included a windbreaker and T-shirt at Fjallraven in Nolita; $270 in shoes at Coclicio in Chinatown and $1,027 in beauty products at Space NK in Nolita.

The cards were also used to pay for a $53 meal at Tribeca restaurant Clew Z Angus at an undetermined time, police said.

Police released surveillance video of one of the men, who was seen with the woman’s wallet at Greene Grape, as well as surveillance photos of another man who was seen using the victim’s card at Fjallraven.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
