CLINTON HILL — You can save some green on your greens this week.
The Greene Hill Food Coop at 18 Putnam Ave. will waive its $25 initiation fee at an open house this Saturday.
Anyone who becomes a member of the co-op at the open house, to be held between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., will only be responsible for the one-time $150 investment that covers the cost of running the market.
“Sign up at the open house and you’ll get a better deal,” said member Jackie Wainwright.
Anyone can shop at the open house, including non-members. There will also be food samples and recipe ideas for those who attend.
The co-op, which was recently featured on an episode of "Broad City," is also offering free two-month trial memberships that don’t require work shifts. (Just don’t try to switch your shift with your BFF).
The deal was first reported by Patch.
