FORT GREENE — Police are investigating after an 84-year-old man was found shot dead in his bed Friday in Fort Greene.
The man, identified as Sydney Bragg, was found lying face up on his bed with a gunshot wound to the head at 8 p.m. inside 18 N. Portland Ave., according to the NYPD.
Bragg was unconscious and unresponsive, and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
Officers found Bragg after responding to a 911 call, but it was unclear who called it in, according to the NYPD.
Police said it's unknown how long Bragg had been dead at the time officers arrived.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
