CLINTON HILL — A man opened fire in a crowded Clinton Hill nightclub early Saturday morning, according to police.

The man took out a handgun and fired two rounds into the ceiling of The Social Butterfly, located at 857 Atlantic Avenue, at 3:35 a.m., the NYPD said.

As clubgoers fled the establishment, the unidentified man walked outside and shot another round into the air before fleeing, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Police did not say what led the man to open fire at the club.

The nightclub's owners were not immediately available for comment.

The NYPD has released surveillance video of the man leaving the club. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
