FORT GREENE — Police are looking for a man they say swiped a woman’s wallet at a Fort Greene subway station then used her credit card to make several purchases nearby.

The 23-year-old victim left her wallet on a bench at the Nevins Street 2/3/4/5 stop and boarded the train around 8:15 on April, according to the NYPD.

The suspect later picked up the wallet and used the victim’s credit card to make several purchases at a nearby location, police said.

Police did not say where the man used the stolen credit card or how much money was charged to the account.

The suspect was last seen carrying an orange plastic bag and wearing a black jacket, black pants and a red shirt, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
