DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man they say grabbed a woman’s butt on an escalator at the Jay Street-Metrotech subway station earlier this month.
The 20-year-old woman was leaving the station at Jay and Willoughby streets around 5:30 p.m. on March 9 when a man approached her from behind on the escalator, according to the NYPD.
The man touched her backside over her clothing and leaned into her before fleeing, police said.
Police released a photo of the man, who was last seen wearing a dark colored vest, blue jeans, sunglasses, a do-rag, a chain around his neck and a red sweater.
The suspect was with another man who was carrying a cane and was uninvolved in the groping, police said.
